KCS 'Life'

At Kelowna Christian School we recognise the school’s role in helping each child reach their full potential. As a school we exist for more than to impart academic knowledge. We aim to provide the life skills and encourage the qualities that will assist each student to make the journey from dependence to independence, from child to adult.

We seek to create a community where each student experiences a sense of belonging and, as a valued member of that community, receives ongoing encouragement and support.

We believe in building up trust, mutual respect and empathy with the students - taking the time to talk with them, and listen to them.

We want to give each student a sense of security and self-worth. A place where they feel safe in the classroom - safe to have a go at something new, to make a mistake, to accept a challenge and to speak up. Kelowna Christian School is all about providing opportunities for students to experience  success, and celebrating that success with them.

At KCS it's about introducing the students to Jesus Christ and then nurturing their relationship with Him; giving every opportunity for a child to take part in team and individual sports; encouraging the students to see broader than themselves, whether it is their local community or another country.
