Grandparents Chapel and Picnic
One of the most popular events that the elementary school students look forward to each year is Grandparents Day!
Hundreds of wonderful grandparents and guests crammed into a gratitude themed chapel and then get involved in class activities and a picnic.
Everyone involved thoroughly enjoys themselves and, as you can tell from the pictures the family members were excited to be involved!
Two Grandparent comments:
"Please extend our thankfulness to your staff for taking the extra time to train and rehearse the children in preparation for a wonderfully honouring day for parents and grandparents. The bond between grandchildren and their grandparents is tremendously strong and loving . It was a joy to sit in the midst of several groups and hear the love passing back and forth."
"We'd like to commend you and the school for your obvious desire to train children to be mindful of others, to care for one another and to be aware of opportunities in which they can be of service. I witnessed several incidents where older children encouraged younger ones to sit with them, to play with them later and to acknowledge and praise their efforts on stage. We feel very thankful for the school and for the witness of Christ in the community."
